Hello,
I'm getting ready to buy a new speaker system and I'm looking into the Promedia 5.1's. I went to Best buy and listened to them and they sounded great. But I touched the sub's back pannel and it was burning hot. I've heard people have had problems with this. Anyone know anything about this overheating problem? Or have a set of these speakers?

I have 2 sets of the Promedias, never had a problem (and they do sound awesome). The heatsink on the Z-560 I have is *hot*. I just bought the Z-560's last week for $170. These are great speakers, especially for the price. The Promedias still sound better in my opinion though. The sub on the Z-560 absolutly rocks!
I too have the Promedia 4.1 and they do rock, just wish they were a little better in the midrange department.
Head on over to here, scroll down to the 4.1 or 5.1 section and read user comments and problems. I haven't had any problems with mine except the cheapo mine plug that plugs into the speakers. Replaced them with some gold plated ones I got at Rat shack.
The Z-560's are nice but I don't think they have the punch that the Promedias have.
