I know a few forums ago at the old original AGN there where die hards that owned 3DFX. My heart goes out to you. Wow $0.28/share
Tough year overall. The only thing I did right was buying NVDA at $38. Everything else if what you would say "long term" (AOL, DELL, LGND, HDD, etc.)

Oh no! It looks like Be Inc. is losing the race with 3dfx to the bottom!

I wouldn't count Be Inc. out yet though.

Heh, amen to that. Almost the end of the year so I'm starting to look at end-of-year tax stuff. I have OOHH so many options on what to sell for capital losses!

Lets see, I could drop Cisco at 42 (bought at 60), AMD at 15 (bought at 28), Applied Materials at 40 (bought at 95), or CMGI at 7 1/2 (bought at
104!!). Ugh...

Splitfire, don't sell any of it. Hang in there for the long term. I gaurantee you that at least one of those companies will make you lots of money if you hold it there.

frost if you only lost $195 then consider yourself lucky
Some people have lost in the thousands and up, they are the ones that are feeling sad right now.

Wow, that's really sad.
The only time we were in the stock business was when we were given a few hundred shares of Sunlife insurance co's IPO offerings. Got it @ 10 and sold @ 21

Used it to finance our trip to Vegas, couldn't have been happier
