Run down to the local Radio Shack. Might cost ya a little extra money, but you don't have to pay for shipping and all.

You might try Second Byte Computers. It's in the 5000 block of south Madison Ave. I bought a half dozen or so (from the font panel) that they pulled from old AT cases the were scrapping, for $3.00 for all 6.

yeah, I just ordered some off of http://www.glowire.com. I wanted green LED's and this is the ONLY place that I found that had green LED's this bright. They're even brighter than the blue (which are usually the king of all LEDs as far as brightness goes)...also ordered some colour changing LED's...should be interesting once I get them. I'll post once I start my mouse mod. Thanks for all the great links/suggestions.

I got a set of super bright led lights last year (after christmas sale).

They are like 2 volts each and have nice easy to solder legs on them. Sockets and wires included if you want to use them :) Easy to replace when needed if you do.

Only thing I don't like about the ones I got are they are not round. Sort of rectangle or square.
I have looked every where and can not find a square drill bit that size (or any size even) for my cordless drill! :)

They are bright with nice color and very cool temp wise. I haven't done anything yet with mine but play with them. I plan to use them in the tower case mod I am doing soon as I can get back to it. Just got a new camera yesterday, other one bit the dust and stopped the project!

If you buy these make sure the set has the color you want. I think mine had yellow green and red, but NO blue.

I am sure there are different styles to the sets, but as an after Christmas sale. a 35 or 50 led string is a great deal! About 10 cents or less per led for the set and price of mine last year!

I have used the twinkle style lights for other stuff over the years, they are nice and cheap too, but give off heat so I don't want those in my case! But still great for other uses or external. Ok if your not worried about heat like for my pentium 133, but I may latter put in an over clocked XP so I'm not using them now. Also the twinkles can be dimmed easiley, leds probly can be too I just haven't tried it.
