Anybody here having problems with BF locking up?

Ever since I installed the 1.3 patch, BF will lock up on me out of nowhere. Sometimes whthin 5 minutes of play, sometimes not even after several hours of playing. I have no idea what it its. I hear it may be a soundcard issue so I took it out and uninstalled the drivers and it still locked on me. I also tried putting it in another PCI slot thinking just maybe it was having an IRQ sharing problem and it still happened. Re-installed my video drivers....no go.

I <i>really</i> don't think it's an overheating issue or any other issue besides a problem with the game because it <b>never</b> happened before the 1.3 patch but it also seems like i'm the only one having the problem. My friend has a similar system and it doesn't happen to him. I'm just wondering if anyone else here is having problmes?

768 PC2100
AMD 1600+
Radeon 8500 64meg
SB Live! Plat 5.1
etc.

no problems here... the 1.3 patchdid take care of the studdering problem i was having it would pause for a sec or 2 about once every min... seems they got the netcode figured out finally I picked up the expantion pack Road to Rome at BB for 15 bucks its a kick in the ass. added 6 new maps and so far i really like 4 out of the 6 added new weapons and new vehicles also.

A lot of people are having lockup problems with 1.3

I saw a post on Blues the other day that there's another patch due imminently to fix the problem as well as a cheat exploit.

glad that cheat exploit is gonna be fixed. not really a cheat just a glitch in the game but it pisses me off when pricks use it.
