[help]thinking about building a comp for gf

hi
512 mb ram
2200xp cpu
some nforce mobo.
iam kinda confused about which mobo i should get, any recommandations? or should i stay away from nforce mobo?

Hi there HOON. I would recommend the following motherboards Epox 8RDA+ or the Asus A7N8X. I heard some really good things about them. I been Abit motherboard fan for quite awhile they make some really good stuff. Might just snoop around online with reviews about motherboards which best suit the specification for the use of the computer.

nForce is definately the way to go, I think. If you're not going to be overclocking, I'd suggest the MicroATX Version of the nForce 2 chipset. They have everything you need, onboard. But, they also allow additions as well. Here are some to choose from:

If you wnat even faster performance, you could get the non deluxe A7N8X, which has everything but the soundstorm, and SATA. maybe a few different things as well.

My gf uses a Celery 333 box with 6.4GB HDD and 160MB RAM... running Win2k.
She can surf the web, chat with her friends and listen to mp3. Shes happy with it
Besides, her monitor is just as BIG as mine is

all friends, family, strangers i don't know, etc are told to buy DELL when they ask me for help with building a pc. i prefer to have DELL called 24x7 for the next 5 years when something goes wrong.

Check out the Epox 8RDA or 8RDA+ depending on how much onboard things you want to use. These boards are very stable and over clock great. They are also a little cheaper than the Asus Nforce board
