Intel Or Amd?

WHICH ONE IS BETTER AMD OR INTEL AND WHY?
price proformance amd. if you jsut have to have that extra 2 frames and dont mind paying ALOT for them intel.

yup gregs right, amd and intel are about even matched for gaming, but the amd price difference will allow your video card budget to be bigger, and video cards are what make or break a gaming rig.
I have both amd and intel cpus, the amd;s outshine intel at folding and such. The only thing my p4 does faster then the amd is mp3 and video encoding..

Another important factor is the chipset. Most people don't even consider the chipset when buying a mobo. id go with amd just b/c of price, but if i had the cash to splooge id opt for hte intel p4... theres just something sexy about intel

i'd go with cyrix...but thats me
if those arent available...then i'd do whatever i can to get the best video card available...if money is a constraint, then i guess i'd go AMD and spend extra on the VC
