I just looked at the shelf last night, and realized all the crap sitting on it. 10 80mm fans, 4 60mm, 2 40mm, 3 96mm, 2 floppy drives, 5 cdrom drives, 11 hdds, a case of old socket 5/7 mobos (gonna donate them), ATI TV wonder, 2vid cap cards, 4 nics, a PPro mobo and cpu, a tray of various socket 7 cpu's, a few old scsi cards, over a dozen heat sinks, 4 modems, a power suply, some old sound cards, 5 slockets, a pair of orbs (one socket 370, one slot1), a dead PII Xeon, a few V2 and V1 cards, some EDO dimms, and an old 486 integrated system board with ram.

Sick collection of crap

How about I just send the 80mm fans with the stuff? I don't need more simms :)

I've also got esd bags big enough for a computer AND monitor to go in at the same time.

You could always put together a crap system and donate it to a school for a tax write-off. Or donate it to any computer-lacking family member. Why not sweeten things up between you and Nat's dad by giving him a system?

he just bought an emachine (just one more reason not to go over there). I've already donated 2 ppro servers, 11 Pentium grade workstations, and countless 486 workstations to a local catholic school. Trust me I already do LOTS of that stuff.

I usually sell my old stuff, but I've got a few things sitting in the closet: some fans, a floppy drive, 2 HD's, CD-Rom, GeForce DDR (gotta sell that still), 56k modem, old mouse, 14" monitor, old speakers, old keyboard, Voodoo 2, some really old RAM... I think that's it...

I have been trying to forget that stuff. I have an ATX case, 2 14" monitors,a couple of modems,3mice,2CD ROMS,2 joysticks, keyboards, old speakers,2 ancient video cars,3 sound cards, and a milk crate full of misc. wires and cables and such

one thing i learned fast is not to hoard stuff especially hard drives and vid cards, as soon as the bigger and faster ones come out, it will be nearly impossible to get what you paid for it. the cycle for HD's is really short, maybe 3 mos, vid cards, maybe 6 mos...

prices will fall, (except for maybe ram).

Not sure why they're there, or what I'm gonna do with em yet.

demrok, the V2 cards are shot to shit :( no idea who made them either... they were pulled out of a system I tried to repair after an electrical surge (blew EVERYTHING). I do have LOTS of intel MMX chips, I believe that a few of em are 233's and there's even an engineering sample of a 266 in there somewhere.
