Convert Inspiron 3541 to Touch Screen?

Hello All,
Has anybody tried this? I've been googling with no results, probably just haven't hit the right search string yet.. But I have a customer that wants to, if it's possible, convert from non-touch to touch on their laptop.. I don't want to spend $100 on the "touch screen" just to find out it won't work.. So figured I'd see if anybody here had done it/knows if it can be done..
