Two M.2' s? If you raid those please post benchmarks. Your bios is going to take longer to post than Windows with those.

If your BIOS supports a fast startup mode ( my older cheapo ASrock does, so should be pretty common) BIOS posts in a couple seconds, and Win boots up in about 7 on a single M.2 It's pretty nice.

I actually kicked the SBlaster card to the curb because it is all kinds of picky on startup and I had to disable the fast bootup so it would init properly.

I picked up an i7-7700K today at Microcenter. They had them down to $260. They have a 15 day return policy which gives me time to see what happens BF/CM.

That's a really good price on that CPU. You'll want a 270 series board for that processor.

Yea, I currently have an ASRock - Z270 Taichi ATX LGA1151 Motherboard at the top of my list.

Without fast bootup, from start to finish it takes less than 10 seconds. About 4 of it on during the BIOS post.
