Gaming Laptops

Post by Executioner »

Anybody have any experience with gaming laptops? I've been thinking about getting one before I retire next year. I have a Best Buy just 2 miles from where I live, and they have several listed:

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/all-laptop ... 7600050003

Musts:
Windows 10 Pro only
Nvidia card with at lest 3 GB ram
15" screen
1 TB drive

I'd like to keep the price around $1000

You arent really going to get all that for 1K unless your ok with a 1050 and 8GB RAM and a i5, and you are doubtful to get Win10 pro as well. I have a Aero 15 (not the X) with a 1060 that I bought last year for about 1600. Prices havent changed much, you are looking at 1300-1700 range for the specs you want in a moderately compact and portable system. If you dont care about portability as much, the Dell G7 should be fine for you.

Thanks for the suggestion.

It does look like a decent laptop. The reason for looking at one now is it's after Christmas, and maybe some deals might be out there. I'm still going to hit Best Buy to look at what they have. Not making a decision just yet.

Looks like dell Outlet for home as some. Looking at either the Dell G7 15” Gaming (7588) $829.00 or the Dell G7 15” Gaming (7588)
$1,267.00. https://outlet.us.dell.com/ArbOnlineSal ... Ge1ak5LyRm

The first one is refurbished, where the next one is not.
