This has been in the works for a while but now seemed like the time:

Based on a T5720 thin client, twin heat pipes for fanless cooling, a 1ghz AthlonXP ("Geode"), RADEON 9200, 512mb ram, and 128GB storage. It runs all my old LAN party favorites, going back to mid 90's DOS games.

Converting an SD card into an IDE drive, because the thin client has no drive bays:

I still have my binder full of games from back in the day. Just have to reinstall them.

Good times.

Nice. You can do a search for my XP gaming rig that I built. Actually, I build 2 of them. One for myself and one for my brother. We both wanted one that does not require internet connection to play.

Found and bookmarked that build. I'll be mining that for game ideas when I move on to XP.

Very cool! Is the racing game Rollcage aka Death Track Racing? I loved that game.

Fun, crazy how this is an incredible build for that time.

Yeah, Rollcage. Used to play it at the red-eye. For years I’ve been running the PS1 port on my PSP, I’d forgotten how good it looked on PC.
