Recently i've discovered weird whirring noises from the fan of my motherboard. the one that is cooling the mobo chipset. My friend checked it out and said it was running slower than normal. How fast is it suppose to be spinnin'?

According to VIA HardwareMonitor, my fan is goin' 2570 rpm.



Just Wondering, i'ts not doin' any real damage rite now :)

2500 is aout right. maybe you just need to clean it.

that's actually a common problem. My buddy's kt7-raid chipset fan just went out. I'd look into replacing it soon.
