need help with laser fan grills

Post by nooyawkah »

Maybe you guys can help me. I have a friend who is able to make laser fan grills from a drawing or photo. I'd love something unique but I freely admit to having no artistic ability. Does anyone have any cool/fun ideas, websites, drawings, etc. that I can steal, er, I mean borrow. Thanks so much.
These are the instructions that came with my Thermalright SLK-800 cooler:
Assembly:
The assembly gestalltet itself just as simply as with the standard Slk-800. after the foil of the base plate was removed and the processor core with thermal compound moistened, leaves one the 6-Punkt-Halteklammer in the base noses to engage. Subsequently, the radiator box is aligned centrically on the base. By means of slotted bolt turners finally the catch side of the fixing clip down pressed to these on the base engages. A strammer contact pressure develops, whereby a good waermeaufnahme is ensured. Although the additionally existing PU Schaumpads provides for a safe seat on the processor, the PC should very carefully be transported and/or the radiators before transport be developed.

Look for a Calivin picture

I've always loved the Calvin & Hobbs cartoon script. I bet there are some cool pictures of either character that would do justice to a laser fan grill. Try this site for examples: http://www.ucomics.com/calvinandhobbes/

If you can make some good ones, I would be interested in buying one! Don't forget to allow for decent air flow in the design. You might also want to accomodate some ability to include lighting effects, such as putting in a groove to all for "el cable" light wire to be wrapped around the circumference. :D

Lots of hand-built and modded AMD systems.

Dude, he should start a small business making them... I'd get one if they pricing was reasonable (under $10 each) :)

How about a set of flames!

We've all got a hot system to show, so why no flames yet?
