Or rather have someone else do it.
The Zippy:

*click me
It is small and takes getting use to, very similar in size to a laptop kb. But darn if this lil puppie is nice! Has an on/off button too.
A full sized version will be out in 2 months and will sell for around $69.

The EluminX:

Review is
here
The EluminX sells for around $100, the Zippy usually around $59. But is smaller. The zippy is easier to read.

Damn, another nice purdy keyboard.
Maybe the mainstream manufactors will pick up on this concept,
I myself kinda like the idea of the shorter keystrokes since i tend to type with 6 fingers :-)

Shorter keystrokes I agree. They both have that same feel. And it is addictive.
I've always wondered why those chinese companies didn't make many versions of lighted kb's too. If they did they'd sell for far cheaper.

A worried future Zippy owner:
Dear blade,
I noticed you said the installed for the keyboard was very complicated in your review.

I'm not very good with computers. When you talk about plugging in a USB cord, I get all worried inside. I never touch my computer, other than when I press the power button or the button for my cup holder. Can you explain in more detail how to install this keyboard and if it will be safe for my adn my computer?
Thanks,
A Worried PC User
LOL

Nice review. I personally will never pay more than I need to for a keyboard...

I also am not too fond of very small keyboards. That thing is just SMALL.

I use to use a wireless kb that was this size, so that helped me getting use to this one. Though I am looking foward to the full size version.
And yes, they are still too expensive. But me thinks they will start to go down a lot later this year.

Maybe I'll try modding one of the keyboards we got here? That'd be cool...some blue leds under the keys.

I'm still addicted to my natural keyboard....they need to come out with one for cool people like me.

I can see how the kboard would be cool, but isn't the light from your monitor usually enough light?? Besides if you use the keyboard enough you should know where the keys are by heart. Am I right or what???
Basically I see the board as a waste of $$$$
I pity the person who buys one

Sometimes it is, but sometime not. Like when surfing a site that is dark, or even playing games, extra light is usually needed. Plus I have a kb drawer that pulls out under my desk, and the desk blocks some light emitting from the monitor.
And I admit it, I just plain like these puppies.
Welcome to pca.

I guess the fact that the numpad, navigation and arrow keys are missing is the main reason that the keyboard is so short, I don't think they really crammed all the keys together.
I like the look of it but I know it wouldn't suit my gaming at all as I use the Keypad keys for all my binds in games like Q3,etc.

it does look keen. do you need a sepatate power supply or does it draw power from USB? I assume it's the latter
