yea... i want to cool it.. but i dont want a fan in the middel of the window.... so ill see how it does with out one... and if i NEED to ill buy a clear not lit fan. now is the fun part.. installing a 12V supply to run the lights and optinal fan.

ok im going to call it done. i might still add that fan... it seems like it could use one....
OK! i built the seperate 12V supply cause i think its cheesy to run a 12v wire from the PC... thats just me. so i built it and mouned it in the base section of the monitor.

Now i needed to protect it from shorting...

With that done and out of the way, its now time to do lighting. I choose to use a MadLighs kit to light it since i plan to do somthing else to my PC.

then i mounted it in the monitor case...

then i mounted the little 45 degree thingys...

then i took the time to mount all the light pods where they go. some of them were a pain in the ass to get in simply cause i didnt want to sick my hands too far into the case for fear of loss of life.

this is what it looked like with all the stuff mounted

the kit came with 2 button to change the speed/sequence of the lights and i mounted that on the top rear

and this is it when it was all done

if you noticed on the lower light pods i mounded deflectors to them to block direct light form the LEDs. i want all of the light to come form inside and they are just too bright with out them. And now i get to say its DONE!!! i went 1.5 days with out the monitor casue thats the only way it would get done right. i have to say i am verry impressed with how it came out. the pictures dont do it justice... but ill have a video of it shortly.
So what do you all think of this mod? was it worth it? i see tons of case mods.. but most people ignore the monitor and i though this would be a good start at modding other stuff other then the PC case.

yea.. i think tomorow after work ill swing by autozone and see what they have as far as edge molding so i can make it look better.
I was documenting it.. but i lapsed casue of the frustration of certian things not working right and forgot to take the pics for that part.

well.. now my monitor is activly cooled... i used one of them 60mm thin fans... but i dont like the one i have its noisy and seems outta balance... if anybody is going to Langasm or PCAlan and has the stock AMD thin 60mm fans and would like to sell/trade it please bring it. Other then that its runnin fine now.

Interesting.
Now you need to put a fishtank on the other side.
I have a coolermaster thin 60mm fan, ya want? But it's not real quiet either.

is it vibration loud or air loud? the fan i have now is vibration loud... if its just air loud i would like it cause i can put a resistor on it to quiet it.. this fan i tryed it and its still loud.
