Don't try this at home....

Post by Bigal »

I just love this magazine ad that's been floating around. This guy has dealt with his final paper jam from
this printer, and it's time for termination! Paper jams are what led me down the road to pc conversion.
You won't find me doing this to my printer now...

It's too bad the remote linking is no longer functional. At least you can right-click the image, copy the link, and paste it into another browser to see the picture. What a pain....

By the way, it's not looking good for winning the Maximum PC Rig of the Month contest. One more issue to go (July 2004), and nobody has contacted me and said I won....oh well. I had fun building the machine, and it's fully functional. I still hope to get a good videocard by the end of the summer. :D

It's worse than I thought....

Well, no sooner did I post that last message that guess what showed up - The July 2004 issue of Maximum PC! Flipping to the back page, my heart sank (just a little mind you) - I didn't win. The lucky guy is Dustin Walker with his homage to Frank Lloyd Wright. He built his case from the ground up - welding 40 lbs of aluminum together, and then he had it anodized. That's a tough act to follow! They said that the contest will go on, but without BAWL's year-long sponsorship (meaning prizes). I don't know if my original entry says in the queue, but maybe it does. I think I'll send them a message to find out! :cool :
