Umm, have somebody else do it ;D

No really, drill a small hole first. Then when your screwing the screw in, it will slide right in where you drilled the hole already.

after I use the hole saw to drill the fan hole, I put a fan grill over it and allign it with what looks right, then I just draw in the little screw hole area, and they drill them out. I iften start with a very small drill bit and punch a center hold then a larger bit and hollow it out.

Like said above use a fan grill for a template, mark carefully, center punch (very important) then drill small pilot hole, then finally correct sized hole for screw.

How in the hell did you figure out he was talking about holes for fan placement? He didn't say anything about fans at all.

I was referring more to motherboard screws, hard drive mounting screws (which i can be counted on to mess up on) and other such stuff.

is there some kind of screw hole template i can download and print out for motherboards? that'd make it SOO much easier...

If you want templates just make some. Just lay what ever you want one for out on a piece of paper and mark the holes. Or for drives put some masking tape on the sides where the screw holes are and poke holes in the tape where the screw holes are. Then peal tape off put it where you need the holes mark, punch, and drill. It cant be much easier than that.
