yea they have 220 comming out of a normal wall outlet... i dont know how it works compared to normal US legs on a box.. but its just a 220 hot and a netural.

Whats realy crazy is 3 Phase... where you only have 3 wires and all are hots and one is grounded! yea 3 hots and one of the hots is also a ground.

lol, yep. one netural, one live, and one earth. from a norm wall socket.

The electricity supply in the UK is 240V 50Hz

They don't all look like that.. :) When I lived in Spain, it was a round hole in the wall that had two small round holes in it and the plug went in that way. If there was a ground, it was two metal contacts on the sides of the plug that were on the wall of the whole.. lol
