I got a new case with a plexiglass window on the side. I want to get most of the wires out of the way, siuch as the cold cathode wires, fan wires and such. Is it safe for me to first off to solder new wires to the old ones to extend them, then secondly run them under the motherboard if I tape over the solder with electrical tape? Let me know soon please. I want to prep this sucker for a LAN party.

Especially under heat, electrical tape starts to become "gooey" and not stick as well, slides around
