Is it safe to...?

Post by GuardianAsher »

I got a new case with a plexiglass window on the side. I want to get most of the wires out of the way, siuch as the cold cathode wires, fan wires and such. Is it safe for me to first off to solder new wires to the old ones to extend them, then secondly run them under the motherboard if I tape over the solder with electrical tape? Let me know soon please. I want to prep this sucker for a LAN party.

I dont see why not. I would pick up some shrink tube and use it instead of electrical tape tho, I just dont trust electrical tape.

Especially under heat, electrical tape starts to become "gooey" and not stick as well, slides around

Took the advice. Thanks all, I appreciate the help. Went to the local autoparts store and picked up some heatshrink. Wires? What wires? ^^
