My Computer, Please Give Opinions (Warning: Dialup Killer)

Post by GuardianAsher »

Earlier, I posted a thread, Is it safe to...? and to my amazement, someone asked for pictures. Well, my mom is back from her trip, so here they are. Warning again, there's a lot of large 800 pix+ pics. I tried to lower the size to something decent, but without much success. And there are a lot of pics. I was trying to get some decent detail.

First off, my pooch. Yes, I know, it's a poodle... bite me :P I put the computer on the floor to take the pics, and he was fascinated by it, so I let him be the star.

Image

When I failed at painting my old case, I went out and picked up an Antec Lanboy case.

Image

I still have yet to paint the CD-ROM drive, so it will match. Right now, it's simply a place holder, since this particular one doesn't work. I wired the cathode light switch to the front, instead of having it on one of the PCI slot covers.

Image

I tried to keep everything clean and organized on the inside. And, being obsessive like I am, everything had to match. The bezel around the CPU fan was gold originally, and the PCI blower fan was black. I painted those with regular metallic spraypaint. And if you're wondering about the North Bridge HSF, I just got this motherboard yesterday. The bezel will be painted soon, I can promise you that.

Image

I tried to stay with the silver and blue theme throughtout the entire computer. Blue LED fans on front and back, on the video card, and to top it off, cathodes.

Image

I decided that the best vantage point to mount them would be the back and bottom edges.

Image

I made such a heroic attempt to hide all of the major wiring, but, to no avail. These wires run to the front switches, front audio, and the rear firewire and USB ports.

Image

And to make sure most of the wires truly _did_ stay hidden... well... let's say I went to some great lengths.

Image

That's about the sum of it. Please give your opinions, they would be greatly appreciated.

Ummm well I guess id have to say you did a pretty good job, although the inside of my case looks just about the same. With similar cases thats really what you have to do to make one look clean anyways. SO all in all I say good job. Except dont ever use green, casue thats MY color :P
