I found something rare ! most of the pic or banners i cant download are in some way linked to http://ad.doubleclick.net/ or

res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/navcancl.htm#http://ad.doubleclick.net/

or

http://ad.doubleclick.net/ad/N2885.AOLc ... 055319645?

maybe is something about ad-aware or spybot , I uninstalled both but i still having this problem , i know that doubleclik is a kind of spyware but apparently necessary ! lol

I gave up and no more problems :)

I was experiencing similar problems with slow image loading or no image loading and reinstalled Windows and it is fixed. Tried to install IE6 again with no luck. I personally think it's more than IE and maybe it's a network issue with the registry (I was getting laggy gameplay in CnC: Generals)

edit

I think that cable nut might be part of your problem. Did you try uninstalling it first before reformatting?

Actually I was using Win2k and IE6 and experiencing this problem. I don't use emule or cablebut but do use Ad-aware and K-Lite K++ edition.
