Road Runner has recently increased their home service speed in my area as well. Not sure if it is nation wide or what but I am liking it, just hope a price hike is not soon to follow.

I like your upload speed, Dad.

They doubled out upload from 128 to 256 about 3 months ago and that helped. Doing website work I really notice upload speeds.

When I first got RR some 5+ yrs ago it was rated at 1.5Mbs down and 365Kbs up. They have raised the download speed over the years but the upload has always been capped at what it is at.

You'll rarely see an upload speed over 324K or so. That prevents you from using the connection for a commercial FTP server, and allows them to manage their bandwidth. Both DSL and cable generally aren't designed to deliver much in the way of upload bandwidth. You need a T1 or frame relay to get the same bandwidth both ways.

Still 350K is nice.

not bad....

im still anxious to see if my ISP (wideopenwest) will do any upping to my speeds

right now, I am at 1500/300...

i checked out their site, they are offering a 3000/500 package for $59.99

right now, i pay that much for basic cable and my 1500/300 connection. But for 74.99 i could bump it up to the 3000/500 w/basic cable

not sure if its worth it...
Gone for good. But never say never
