Remember, if you're shopping for a VPN for privacy reasons, your VPN can SEE ALL YOU TRAFFIC. All you're doing by using a VPN is kicking the can down the line. Yeah, you're obscuring your traffic from your ISP but now the onus is on your VPN.

There's a lot of scammy VPNs popping up lately taking advantage of people.

Stick to reputable VPNs and be aware that you're still taking it on faith that they're not monitoring and selling your browsing habits - or worse.
