These things would seem to be a steal for $100, and all the reviewers
like them, I want some real world feed back from someone who has used one a little longer than running the timedemo in Q3. Does anyone have one running on a Via pro chipset motherboard, any stability or conflicts to speak of? How well does UT run on one? Thanks to all....

I have the Hercules GeForce MX with a P3 running on an Asus P3V4X (Via 133a chipset) The card give great bang for the buck I have had to problems or conflicts at all. The card is eager to O/C I have my memory O/C but have theft the core at stock settings. If you are looking for perfomance on a budget I would say buy an MX I got mine from Micro Pro for $108.

if your gonna get one... get the CL MX w/ 32mb DDR...
the main problem w/ the MX is that it's extremely bandwidth limited on memory... the DDR really helps... i've got one... nice....

I have a Leadtek GF2MX running on a OLD LX board in an old Dell machine running WIN95osr2 and no probs with any of the new games.

It ran FAAK2, Elite Force, Rune, Alice and NOLF without a hitch.(Knock on wood). Some of the games, I used 32bit and some 16bit. Most, I run at 800x600 rez.

chottoED, You've been fooled by Creative's Marketing scam! They uses DDR ram, you are right about that, but it's a 64bit DDR ram, and they use cheap 7ns RAM. As for other MX cards, they use true 128bit SDRAM, and it's usually 6ns or faster.

64bit DDR in theory = 128bit SDR, but in reality, 64bit DDR is a little slower than a true 128bit SDR even at the same clock speed.

I have an Asus V7100, I have it at 210/210 now, I have 6ns RAM on it.

I heard about the DDR issue also on one of the other comp sites. It is a marketing ploy by Creative.

I saw it at Anands ,Sharky's or Firingsquad. Not sure so don't quote me on that.
