KiLLerCloWn,

I totally agree. I posted almost exactly what you said to the ATI Rage bbs a while back.

I build a lot of custom computers for other people. I never use Radeon cards in them. In the last year almost all of them had either 3DFX or nVidia cards.

Although I think the 64meg Radeon is the best card available right now, people that are not tweakers & power users are better off with an nVidia card. 95% of the games available will work straight out of the box with a Geforce without any tweaks.

I'm really going to miss 3DFX cards, when I installed one of them I just knew that all the games & apps would work fine.

To add to this, those same users that I wouldn't use a Radeon card for all get WindowsME in their systems.

When I tried ME I absolutely hated it & three weeks later I formatted & reinstalled Win98SE. I consider ME as the ultimate "Windows for Dummies" OS, but that's exactly why it's perfect for inexperienced users.

The restore feature is an awful resource hog (uning ghost regularly is a FAR better choice) but that feature can be invaluable for inexperienced users.

LoL same here. I loved the AIW (except with Giants and Sacrafice :/ ) I only sold it cause That FPS difference between it and the 64megger grew wider and wider as games got newer.

64megger + ATi TV-Tuner...I went that route and it's a fine solution over the AIW. No TiVo though, but hell the AIW TiVo didn't work with the latest betas :)
