I saw this over at 3DGPU concerning the 7.27 drivers with HSR.
>If you weren't around, NVItalia.it made a post that these drivers will contain HSR (Hidden Surface Removal) and Zoiah over at http://zoiah.m3dzone.com/ has confirmed the rumor. Well Numerator, who's an employee for NVIDIA has debunked the rumors with a post in our forums. Here's what he had to say:
"The 7.27 drivers are a myth, I don't know how this got started. The bottom line is that we are still working on stability, bugs and features for our drivers. We have no plans to implement HSR (ala 3dfx). And yes, they really do get leaked, we do not do this intentionally."
So it looks like the HSR rumor turns out to be just that ... a false rumor.>
If you really think about it, why would Nvidia give owners of older GeForce cards a 20 to 30% increase in speed when they are getting ready to introduce their next generation card in a few months.
Nvidia 7.27 Drivers
All this talk over the 7.27 driver from Nvidia just makes ma laff...
You get people getting hysterical over whether HSR is or is not included....hell some people even think GLIDE may be included in a future release...
Why not just wait and see what the new driver have when they come out.
I'm running 6.47 and very happy with the performance they give..

When a NVIDIA employee posting under an alias wrote that there were no 7.27 drivers, guess what happened? Zoiah said that he was no employee and that he was lying. So yeah, some people will go out of their way to believe that a "miracle" would happen, even if it means mindlessly bashing someone from the company they like.

Again.................
Latest official Reference driver is 6.31 (DO NOT USE BETA OR LEAKED DRIVERS). They often perform faster and are more stable than manufacturer drivers.

…because NVIDIA wanted to support their users and give them reason to buy another NVIDIA based video card?Originally posted by MAC
