These two companies delight in crashing one another's product launches.

I cant wait to see what ATI has up their sleeves for the competition

looks like the 9700 is still the card to get

I had a feeling FX would be a flop and it looks like it. Nvidia always overhypes thier cards...

I was looking for a little whoopass from the FX to drive the price of the 9500 pro down

From the official benches, the FX is a dissappointer. Would that mean price drops on ATIs side won't be as pronounced (if any at all)?

Things huge and loud. It really doesn't seem like its much better than the 9700Pro. And unless they fix that sound problem, they won't sell many, and the ones they sell will be returned because people will think they're faulty.

all the reviews are of the pre-production cards, right?
so nvidia could still change it when it ships shortly?

Well, you can't deny it, it does benchmark better than the 9700 pro on almost every test. But, i certainly don't think it benches $250 better

Well, i guess i should say the numbers look better for it... but it all comes down to how many FPS you get, and the 9700 Pro definitly kicks ass there over the FX.
