I use 3Dmark. I can't speak for anyone else, but thats the one I have always used. You can find it here http://www.3dfiles.com/utility/ and other benchmarking utilies.

3dmark is nice and all, but not really a real world application.. Yes i know it tests direct3d performance, but what i consider realworld is something that you actually play. For OPENGL i recommend the usual q3a and MDK2. I am stuck on what to use for D3D, I suppose 3dmark works, but I like benching something I play... You can get a frame rate count in giants, but no real bench... Plus giants is more of a cpu dependant game...
