I'll be getting one here in a week or so. I'll be able to tell you then. I have heard of this problem also, but I have heard of some fixes (disableing AGP4x for example) I think I'll love the card as long as it doesn't give me too much trouble. I bet it'll be up and running in one day, easy.

Insane, 1Ghz Chris had loads of problems with this card/mobo combo. This stopped me from buying a Radeon even tho I was looking forwrad to it. Disabling AGP 4X does fix this and there's not that big a difference between 4X and 2X in any case so if you're not worried about a few fps you should enjoy that card greatly Unfortunately I have a slight mental instability and every fps I lose gives me sleepless nights, makes my hair go grey, my face go green, me eyes go read and KC junior go limp so the Radeon is not for me I'm afraid...lol

Clown:
Could you point us at some benchmarks showing AGP4x making a difference, and under what conditions?
Personally, I've always considered AGP a joke, an idea conceived in times when video RAM cost way too much.
I have a hard time believing there are any games out now that exceed the 64MB framebuffer on the VIVO, especially when you take the reduced bandwidth of HyperZ into account.
I have a harder time believing dma to system RAM is going to be faster than access to RAM on the card.
Please elaborate.
BTW- I don't know how this card performs on this board, I have a BX board.

Insane Morphius - Just realized something. I'm not getting the 64meg Radeon VIVO. In fact, I'm getting the 32meg one with the T.V. Tuner, t.v. out, etc. (review here) It scores just about the same as the 64meg VIVO. Just a few frames shy which can be fixed by overclocking
It will be shipped tomarrow so I'm hoping it will be here by Monday! Can't wait, I'm serious!!!!! Time to boot my 8meg TNT2! It's slowing my Athlon 700 down, I swear it is!

AGP4X pffft!
*sigh* AGP4X is much ado about nothing. If you don't have AGP4X enabled don't worry about it since it has such a tiny, minuscule affect on performance.

Yes it took me a day before i realised i had to install via's drivers in normal mode. Since then i have got the Radeon running at agp4x with my KA7. I have tried almost every driver combo. The worst you can do is use win 98 drivers for the agp.
My Radeon 64 vivo turned out to be a bad card so almost some of my problems were down to my card being ill.
DVD playback was great and some software players streach the screen slightly so you get a bigger picture to see on the tv. TV out is awseome, the best i have had.
I have the OEM and benchtested it with a GeForce DDR they are very closly matched and when i put in the 63 drivers for the Radeon it out peformed the DDR.
Chris.
