Tom's updated their graphics comparisons on Jan.20 2017.

Personally, I think that the Radeon 480 is in the sweet spot. That's how I always end up with Radeon cards. Sure, Nvidia typically holds the top, but the mid-range cards are always better priced by AMD. I think that's how they've managed to stay in the game.

Re: Best Graphics Cards for the money
I'm running a GTX 960 right now, but a combination of me being stupid and only getting the 2GB card and the new GeForce experience flat out pissing me off, on top of the fact that FreeSync monitors are a lot cheaper than G-Sync monitors, and I'm really leaning towards replacing my current card with a 480 8GB. Hmm...

You know you don't need to install the Geforce Experience? I don't. I don't want that crapware on my PC.

I actually really enjoyed the old version. Especially the settings optimization in games. Because I'm lazyFlyingPenguin wrote:You know you don't need to install the Geforce Experience? I don't. I don't want that crapware on my PC.
But since this new one came out where you have to be logged in to use it, I got rid of it. I don't install it or nVidia's Steroscopic 3D software.
