Radeon Vega Reviews up

Post by wvjohn »

List of reviews at Blues - https://www.bluesnews.com/s/183051/amd- ... gas-launch

Top card about the same as the 1080 but power hungry. Full out the air cooled 64 pulls close to 500 watts :Y

All o/s everywhere. With Bitcoin headed through the roof, miners will grab them.

Is there still money to be made mining? I thought the BTC vs Kilowatt threshold was past last year?

Everyone's moved on to Ethereum and Bitcoin was forked to Bitcoin Cash. I don't mine but like to check the Cyrptocurrency news once in a while. I'm hoping those Feathercoins I mined back in the day surge someday.

Unfortunately, the new Radeons will be bought up by miners. AMD's cards have always been better at mining.

Bitcoin over $4k , others will eventually rise. The "World of Finance" is buying up BTC now as spec investment, so it will get whipsawed like a cheap set of tires in the Indy 500.

Babletechreviews has a VR comparison with the Vega 64 liquid and the GTX 1080 FE and GTX 1080 TI FE.

Looks like the GTX 1080 FE is 25% faster in VR then the RX Vega Liquid. I thought they would be about even. Looks like AMD has a lot of work to do on their VR drivers.
