This is a workstation card for people doing professional 3D work like game developers or visualization for movie studios.
Trouble is that NVidia themselves keep hyping it as an 'a gaming card'.
Basically, for double the price, at 4K you're getting, at most, 13% improvement over a 3080. In some games even less.

I could've bought one this morning through EVGA but @ $1,700, they can keep it.

I looked up 8K TVs at Best Buy and they range from $2,500 to $60,000. The size range was 55 to 98 inches. They probably need 16 to 24 Gigs of RAM on a video card for that resolution. I can't see people gaming on huge screens like that.
