The only dongles I've found that work on my Pixel 2 XL are the ones from Google.

That is why I did not get the Pixel and settled on the Samsung S9 which has the old phone jack that just works, and also has wireless charging.

I love my Pixel 2. I simply stopped using cords. Picked up some BT earbuds that sound great and were under $25
