Got tired of dealing with my Dell G5 5505 SE gaming laptop. Trying to play Horizon Forbidden West, it would work for about 15 minutes then quit. This laptop does not have a decent heat sink to expel the heat. So I wiped it and gave it to my daughter.
I bought an Asus ROG Strix G16 (G615JMR-AS74) for $1600 from Amazon. I did update the ram to 32 which made a huge improvement. Running Windows 11 24H2. Game now runs at high with zero lag compared to my old Dell with a setting of low for the graphics. I also added a 2 TB NVMe hard drive in the extra slot.
