Yup, it works. I just printed a CNN article from Safari on my iPod Touch to my Epson inkjet printer on my Win7 workstation.
I could not get it working under Server 2003. It installed okay but the Touch doesn't see any printers. So I installed it on my Win7 workstation and it worked fine.
It would not work with my LaserJet 6P that is connected to the server and I have setup as a network printer in Win7. The Touch sends the print job and it appears in the queue for the printer but then the job stays stuck in the queue with an unspecified error. Worked fine with my Epson Inkjet which is directly connected to my Win7 PC.
Now I'm going to set it up on my wife's iPad.

Download the AirPrint Activator installer here: http://www.filedude.com/download/1RW7QuQJW1fc11bb13a6
Instructions are in German but here is my translation:
Step 1:
Execute the installer and choose your OS
Step 2:
Open "Printer" in System references, right click on your printer and open settings, make sure the printer you want to use is shared.
Step 3:
Make sure that Airprint is allowed through your firewall.
In 32bit Window the path is: c:\program files\airprint\airprint.exe
in 64bit it's C:\Program Files (x86)\AirPrint\airprint.exe
To Uninstall: There is no uninstaller. Airprint is installed as a service. The only way to uninstall it completely is to turn the service off, then run REGEDIT and search for all occurances of AIRPRINT and delete them, then reboot.
