Is Your Flashlight App Spying On You?

I had one called Droid. I uninstalled it just to be safe until I research more on this.

On my phone, it's a widget called "assistive light". Not sure if it could work the same as an app.

While accurate, the REAL lesson is ANY app can be malicious. You should not install an app unless you are certain of it's authenticity. Make sure it has a lot of reviews for starters. Also read the permissions carefully. A flashlight app should not require ANY permissions except maybe access to the camera (to turn on the camera light).
