Nope, that is important for two reasons.Originally posted by rogue
Oh yes, lets talk about the real issues. Like how Iraq had no WMD's even before the 2003 invasion. Oh but wait, that's far less important than Kerry's impromptu pulling of a pen out of his pocket. Ignorance is bliss, huh neo-cons?
1) This report doesn't look beyond Iraq's boundaries, nor does it address associations Saddam had with terrorist orginizations (not that the media will ask any of those questions).
2) It raises SERIOUS questions about what kind of a man would want the world to think he had WMD when he didn't? That doesn't sound like a very stabalizing force on the Middle East, now does it? If Saddam wanted to bring poverty and ruin to his country via UN sanctions, it was only a matter of time before he played a direct role in some other terror attack on the US.
And this issue with Kerry at the debate IS important. Like I said before: it goes directly to the heart of Kerry's integrity and character as a person. If the left can attack Bush for "lieing" about WMD, then let's talk about Kerry lieing about agreeing to the rules of this debate. You can burry your head in the sand all you want and say "its not important," but somewhere along th eline it does become important
