Regarding the explosives, the new Iraqi government reported that 194.7 metric tons of HMX, or high-melting-point explosive, and 141.2 metric tons of RDX, or rapid-detonation explosive, and 5.8 metric tons of PETN, or pentaerythritol tetranitrate, were missing.

There's two things I don't get about this:
1) Everyone is bitching about a these explosives we knew were there four years ago. What the hell difference does that make today? And why is the media not mentioning this in any of its reports?
2) Why is it that Saddam Hussein was not a threat because he didn't have weapons of MASS destruction, but its OK to have half a million metric tons of conventional high explesives?
