Cable providers are already monopolies in their markets, lets just expand that more.. good plan. Having larger bargaining power with content providers only makes it easier to kill off the little guys and take over there too.

I'm waiting for the resulting Comcast to eventually merge with Microsoft, Apple, Google, Intel, Verizon, At&T, Walmart, Exxxon Mobile, Chevron, GM, Ford, GE, Bank of America, IBM, Well's Fargo, and Qualcomm

It would be a one stop shop for all your need.
