You dont need the cd to play. Just install and go. No cd keys either

This was back in the day when games could be released without fear of mass piracy

Don't expect PC133 to work worth a damn on that ECS board... most have troubles running SDR ram at 133 FSB DDR runs fine though...

Until I can afford to buy some DDR It'll be all good. I barely had the money for the new CPU and obviously it has to come first. Are you saying you couldn't get it to work at all, or it just didn't perform as well as it does with DDR? eGo

AT : I kinda need something now so that I can be practicing for the LAN, I've never played before, and I'm not a big fan of being the NEWB who's gettin' his ass kicked, although that's still bound to happen. eGo

I know of 4 people who could not get their k7s5a's running at 133 with PC133 ram... They had to underclock the chips to 100 FSB so thatthe computer would operate... It will run but you get random lock up random reboots and a lot of other glitches... All of them slapped in a stick of PC2100 and they ran fine... I had one and only was running a Duron on it with SDR at 100fsb so i never experienced it.

Hey, I know this might sound stupid, but I'll ask anyway.

Mind if I show up without a PC? I don't quite have anything that would work atm, but I'd love to come and hang out with you guys for a day. Finally meet all of you! I could be the event photographer, or cook, or umm, anything that doesn't involve cleaning hehe

No prob. had a bunch of that type show up last year. Probably around 7-10 people showed up with out a PC. No prob...shit I dont know why I even bring a PC, I spend 95% of the time talking to people.

But if you have a moded case, might as well bring it and enter it into this years Mod contest.

yes you're more than welcome to show up w/o a PC. i'm sure there's a good chance there might even be a spare one around for you to use. i brought 2 boxes last time myself...

Should be a fun event this year (like always) but each year it gets progresivaly better.

I was talking with John and we are working out a Voting system. like when you walk in, we take a Pic of You and your Rig and enter it into a database and people can go in a vote on everyones system. Person with the Most votes wins something or something like that. I think its a pretty neet idea.
