Clean Your Computer!

Post by Pugsley »

After looking at my computer i realized its dirty and needed to be cleaned and then noticed aftewards it was running cooler then i got to thinking... Most peoples computers are used to running in places with AC going to help keep them cool.

Well PCA isnt going to have AC so some of you getting by now with dirty heatsinks might have overheating problems when you bring your computer out. So i would recomend you clean the dust and tar off your computer so its ready for the lan. Also if your overclocking you might want to make sure your computer is stabel at higer room temps. I know with my OC im good all the way up to about 98F room temp. You dont want to show up looking like this:

I can tell you you wont last long with that. So again make sure to get your PC cleaned out and get it in good wokring order so you can enjoy the LAN. (unless you like fixing your computer)

Also make sure all you shares and what nots are in order. Test them out at home (if possible) to make sure your not sharing your whole harddrive with everybody being able to delete whatever they want. (not that anybody would)

All and all just be prepared to have a good time and not 2 hours of fiddling with your PC to get it to work. That should do it. A bit of work could save your whole rig from ending up in the dumpster.

nice suggestion

another suggestion: Screw putting your huge cases on top of the table...put it on the floor on the cold concrete. Remember, heat rises. So you get more warm air when you keep your case waist high than if it was on the ground under the table
Gone for good. But never say never
