Dungeon siege in almost first person, here is how !!!

I don't know if you know this :

At http://www.dsnetguide.com/siegelets/siegelets.php you can download a 338 Kb mod for Dungeon Siege, called

FexFX-MODPackv2.00b.zip

In the tiny zip there are 3 files.

I chose to install "FexFX - MultiMOD v2.00b.dsres", just extract it to the Dungeon Siege "Resources" subdirectory.

This gives you a double size back-pack.

And by the way allows you to change to ANY point of view.

Yep, you can zoom to a horizontal view, you can go to an almost over the shoulder view, or pick a third person view, or go farther than the games allows, etc, etc.

I had finished the game normally and really liked it, and I never play again a game except a couple years later ...

But after trying out of curiosity this mod, I HAD to finish it again : believe me, it's another game.

With marvelous graphics and atmosphere, your companions, and buildings and trees and whatnot around you make you be there.

And the monsters in your face are fantastic !


Forgot to say, you can't use old savegames or it doesn´t work at all.

Just begin a new game and off you go.

Does that mod work with the newest beta updates? I tried the same mod (but it might have been an earlier version) after installing the new beta update and it didn't work. There are actually better ones out there that allow you to use saved characters with the unlocked camera and double backpack but many of them are still working on adjusting to the coding changes that were made in the last beta update. And by the way, if you ever go online, don't mention you are using the backpack mod. People don't appreciate it and many consider it cheating. My roomate got banned from a number of servers after he started using it.

NICE POST.....I love this game anyway. Shall go hunt down a patch that lets me use my Saves. Woohooo
