attention all xbox owners

Post by Floater »

sorry for the 'console' post here, but i have to say that all xbox owners should go out and get splinter cell as soon as you can!

the game is magnificent, the production value is head and shoulders above anything i've ever seen before (including halo). the controls are tight, sound is dead on perfect with a 5.1 setup and graphics have to be seen to believe.

SC is only the second game i have ever pre-bought in my 10 years of being able to buy games myself and it does not disappoint in the slightest.

run, run now and get it.

didn't this game just release?

it was definitely on my "to buy" list as i've played the hell outta the demo. guess i'll run down to the nearest gamestop and grab a copy.

question.. can you invert the controls for aiming? there's no option for it in the demo so i was just wondering?.........?

Yes you can. This bothered alot of people including me about the demo but you can in the full version.I havent picked up my copy but this is the very next game I'm getting no doubt.I simply loved the demo and how many different ways to complete your objective.

So many great games coming out for Xbox I simply cant afford them all but SC is a must buy IMO.

I should have my copy on Saturday. I'm on-call this week so I got it shipped USPS. I should be getting Metroid Prime in the same order.

If I'm lucky I'll get my copy of Steel Battalion soon. Gamestop says that it has shipped.

This is hands-down the best game I've ever played on a console. From the smooth controls to the incredible lighting effects, this game buries you deep in the environment. If your into this genre, you can't miss it. Also, if you don't own an Xbox, for the price of a good video board, I'd pick one up just for this game. It's that good!

No need to buy a xbox to play Splinter Cell, it'll be released for PC sometime in January.

Yeah for the price of a new vid card you get a broadband ready console,2 games(SegaGT and JSRF),and never have to buy a memory card unless you want to trade/transport game saves with friends.Throw in HDTV support and DD 5.1 "in game" and it's a great value IMO.Xbox has alot of good games to offer besides Halo and Splinter Cell BTW.

Back on topic...

Finally got a copy of SC and it's awesome. The demo(which I played many times)was only a taste of what this games has to offer.I havent got very far yet but I'm loving the hell out of it.
