Have you tried the Colin Mcrae 2 demo yet?
Saw the video a few weeks ago, looked sweet!
If you like racing games
Man, if it did come out I'd be all over it. I played it at E3 this year... It was sweet. I got to sit it in an off-road racing Ford Aspire. They were having this contest, and you could win a stock Aspire. It was so cool. You actually sat in this race car and used it's shifter, pedals, and steering wheel all while looking through the windsheild at this huge flatscreen mounted in front of the car. I had the first place for the first 2 days. I was so excited,...then some dorky old guy came by and stole my first place seat. Oh well,.. it was still a ton of fun. I'll see if I can find those pics we took while were where there. Man what a cool game!!!

It's out now and a playable demo is available at Fileplanet.com
If you like the first one you'll love this one. Still as accessible and playable and just great fun...especially the arcade mode where you can race other cardson te same track
Great game! I just hope the full version is a bit harder than the demo cos I beat all the times first or second try and there were no difficulty settings....the game should be getting here any day now, ordered it weeks ago

Rally Championship is just the best dricving game out there, together with Grand Prix 3 of course I also drove the nuts of that game and still do, it's just awesome! But it's a lot more sim orientated than Colin McRae. Ifd you played the first Colin McRae you know exactly what to expect:
- Instant accessability, no need to learn the cars, tweak the control setup and all that (altho you can). You'll be in control immedediately pulling off spectacular powerslides.
- The cars are a lot more slidy. RC car physics tried to be more realistic. More grip, 4 wheel or front wheel drive, lifting off the gas or breaks required to make the cars slide (like in real life). Altho the cars were a bit too light (prolly in the attempt to make them jump further in thos spectacular straights with long jumps) they handle more realistically than in Colin McRae.
- Shorter stages. None of the 20-30 minute stages you find in RC, fun is the emphasis, not simulation.
- Wider roads which allow more in terms of mistakes etc...
Al in all Colin McRae is brilliant, as the first one, but it is more fun oriented than RC, so if you're hardcore sim guy looking after a Rally sim it might not be your thing. If you're looking for a great racing game you'll love it. And the arcade mode is a lot batter than in RC. I love RC arcade mode but the AI is just pityful. This is a lot better in CR
Koo Koo: Use a wheel, best Force Feedback, and you'll have perfect control
