I like it far more then diablo 2. Then again I didnt like diablo2 because it was just a slightly upgraded diablo. this is new and different. Thats about all I look for in games any more. :)

Played about 6 hr non stop. Im diging it.

Get in on this.

Seems neat so far, but having problems with the multiplayer and so are other people. Can't connect to games it says "can't find game at that address". Seems to be a real common problem right now. But I still can build my character online by myself for now..........

Yeah I'm playing it too and it's freakin addictive! The graphics and atmosphere are amazing, really really nice. The gameplat itself is pretty simplistic, similar to Diablo, but you have a party instead, and there's other subtle differences as well. It's a typical "hack-n-slash" RPG but it's really fun, if you like action RPG's you'll really like this, reminds me of the classic dungeon hack RPG's I used to play...

It's by far the most amazing looking game I've ever played. However, I was hoping for more role-playing elements. Diablo was really a "dumbed-down" role player and, unfortunately, Dungeon Siege is even more "dumbed-down". When fighting you basically just click an enemy and then watch as the computer completely takes over.

Diablo was 3rd person view only I believe which I've always hated, never tryed Diablo2 as a result. Is this 1rst person (like Quake, UT type games) or 3rd person?

Third, but you have funn control over the camara. You can set it up how ever you want and it changes on the fly pritty easly. The music in this game is so far amazing also.

Hey,

What are you guys playing this game on? I'm wondering if it's even worth installing it on the laptop? It's a 500 celey with 150Megs of Ram. It's running great on my desktop, I love the game, I wonder if I'm going to have to upgrade when I go on deployment.

I love it. I am amazed by just how addictive it is. I know it is a basically minor thing, but I dig the way armor and shit shows up on the model. Oh and the arrows sticking out of enemy bodies :)

i was hoping someone else had this game. Ive been playing since sunday and im only lvl12. This is gonna take much longer to advance in than d2 but that isnt a bad thing. I love the graphics, the game is beautiful to say the least. What is everyones player name? Maybe we could all get together and do some slashing sometime. My guy is named Lucasta.

DS is just D2 with cleaner graphics. i spent so many hours getting to lvl 69 for my sorc on D2 (and a lowly 58 paladin), there's no way i'm gonna shoot arrows and slash at people for another 500 hours all over again.

I still like this game, but it isn't captivating me quite as quickly as D2. My character is only lvl 34 but the multiplayer is the way to go. I have to agree with The Wraithlord, the way your character looks diff. with all the different items to equip, is sweet!

I picked it up today and my first impression is...It sucks major arse.

The inital start point and mission is hackneyed, then you start through the forest getting attacked litterally every 10 seconds or so by exactly the same kinds of monsters again and again. It's quite easy to die unless you watch your health bar carefully but TBH I didn't care much.

I usually get a feel for how much I'm going to like a game by how long the "1st go" lasts, i.e. from the 1st time I start playing it to when I go do something else. With Dungeon Siege it took me 15 minutes to get to "I'm bored" and quit the 1st time. This is not a good omen.

I then went back in after about 1/2 an hour and it held my interest for another 10-20 minutes or so.

Does it get MASSIVELY better than the 1st 20 minutes later on?

I liked Diablo (not D2 much though) but this game just leaves me completely unmoved, I don't feel drawn into the game at all and absolutely no affection for my avatar.
