I just bought it today because I finally have a bit of spare time to play games over the next few weeks and I loved the first Diablo. Already I have played 3 times for 2-3 hours each. Making it so that you have to find the next waypoint or else start all over was really mean; you end up playing for way longer than you intended
Are you kidding.. 2-3 hours each and you consider taht addictive?
Try Everquest... i've pulled 20+ hours straight in that game, and i've known people that pull 30+ straight hours. I've known marriages break down because of that game, jobs losts, grades pummeled, and social lives ruin.
This is your life and it's ending one minute at a time.
I found Diablo II very tedious the old "point and wack" just doesn't cut it for me these days. As for Evercrack and things of similar nature I think these are in a seperate category as they are MP and Diablo II is mostly SP.
Don't mess with Evercrack it has ruined peoples lives.
Diablo 2 ROCKS man!
The replay value is awesome, you just need to customize your character the way U like! I've finished normal and hell modes in battle.net. It justs get better! I would suggest playing it there rather than offline, it goes quicker!
Tell me about it...the first time i sat down to play was 6pm the day i bought it...the next time i blinked was almost 20 hrs or so later....VERY addictive.
I think this game is the very reason we no longer see Golfreak. LOL
"Why build only one when you can build two for twice the price?"

Diablo 2 is extremely different from the original , I found the original more adictive. Diablo 2 was too complex, as they tried to make it more of a good thing but with all the new complications I found the replayability drop. After I beat the Game I didnt want to start at the beginning and do it all over again but with harder monsters
