I recently overclocked my 1Ghz Thunderbird to 1.32Ghz.

I ran prime95 and all was good, no errors or anything. But when I play Alice I play for a little while and i get kicked out of the game and greeted with an error message.

So I thought the bus speed might be too high and just clocked it to 1.2Ghz but still had errors.

So then I put it back down to 1Ghz but yet still no go. So I uninstalled and reinstalled. Still the same thing happening.

What could possibly be wrong ? Oh just so you know, it never happened before overclocking.

UberNeuman, LOL. Yup, damn that Mad Hatter. Just kidding.

Well it's pretty stupid on my part really. I reinstalled Win98SE and installed everything but one thing I forgot.

I set the virtual memory to 128MB, it used to be set at 256MB. So I set it back to 256MB and all is well.

Had nothing to do with overclocking at all. And there I was scared that my overclocking project was a failure.
