If you're like me and you despise the new Steam friends list integrated with chat, you can get the old Friends list back.

Append these command lines to your steam shortcut:

-nochatui -nofriendsui

So if Steam is installed on your E: drive (as it is on my system) the shortcut will look like this:

E:\Steam\Steam.exe -nochatui -nofriendsui

If you have Steam in your startups you'll need to append these commands to that shortcut as well.

Great! Thanks for that. It would have been better if during the update, they offered you the option to revert back to the old list. I guess they are learning from MS.

After reading the article, I forgot that Valve has not put out a game since 2011. I guess they have a skeleton staff, but manages to make tons of money anyway.

They make a fortune off the Steam platform. I think all their programmers work on that, and updates to TF2 and CS GO which seems to be their two most popular games.

Actually it's amazing how many people are playing those two games. The stats are unbelievable:

Sadly they've disabled this. We're stuck with the new friends list now
