Got this loaded on my Dell E6540 laptop. DOOM3 was released in August 2004. I had to make some modification to make it play on a wide screen. It was a simple change to the CFG file. While playing, I remembered the bitching about having to use the flashlight. I also found the duck tape mod that has a flashlight on certain guns.
I forgot how scary this game really is due to the atmosphere being so dark. Wonder if someone made updated graphics like in the first DOOM?
